Do you really need a health coach?

These days, we’ve got endless information at our fingertips about everything under the sun—especially health! Nutrition, exercise, sleep tips, wellness “hacks”—there are articles, social media posts, and podcasts for days. Friends are all about the cold plunges, you’re seeing all kinds of “sleep stacks,” and mindfulness tips, and now there’s a Longevity Hub popping up around the corner offering hyperbaric chambers, infrared light sessions, and IV vitamin drips. The FOMO is real, and it’s tough not to wonder if you’re missing out on the next big health breakthrough. But these services don’t come cheap, and it’s not clear if they actually work for everyone

COACHING

Think about it: have you ever bought a training program, only to abandon it because it didn’t fit your life or felt too rigid? That’s where coaching comes in.

It’s all a bit overwhelming, isn’t it?

With so many experts and “new” protocols online, where do you even start? And why, with so much information and all these new tools in 2024, aren’t we all in peak health?

Here’s the thing: we’re all different, and our bodies have unique needs. Maybe extreme cold exposure isn’t right for you, even if your friend swears by it. Maybe you don’t need an IV vitamin drip, even if it’s the latest wellness trend. Just because something works for one person doesn’t mean it will work for everyone.

That’s where a health coach can make all the difference. Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach, a good health coach tailors their guidance to you—your personality, your lifestyle, and what actually works for you.

Think about it: have you ever bought a training program, only to abandon it because it didn’t fit your life or felt too rigid? That’s where coaching comes in. A coach works with you to identify the health goals you want to focus on, breaks down the steps you can realistically take, and supports you in changing behaviours at your own pace. They’ll consider your unique quirks, your current environment, and what you’re actually ready to take on.

Having knowledge is one thing but turning it into action is another. Even tiny positive changes, when done consistently, can build up over time into something powerful—just like adding small deposits to a savings account and watching them grow with compound interest.

Think of a great sports team: each player knows the rules of the game, but what sets a championship team apart is often the coach. They understand each team member’s strengths and bring out the best in everyone to work as one unbeatable unit. The same goes for health coaching. Just like elite athletes and top business leaders have coaches to reach new heights, working with a health coach can help you reach your wellness goals in a way that’s meaningful and sustainable.

So instead of splurging on every wellness trend or jumping into the latest fad, consider working with a coach who gets to know you and has your best interests at heart. They’ll help you focus on what truly matters to *your* health and happiness, guiding you toward long-term wellness in a way that’s achievable—and genuinely works for you.
